Anyone else having issues with the youtube app? Specifically the subscriptions page.
It won't allow me to select a channel from my subscriptions list - every time I try to select one it jumps back to whatever channel is at the top of my list, based on the latest video uploaded. I can pick videos ok, and access the channel that way. The app in general is more unstable now also, sometimes refusing to load a video or just buffer indefinitely.
It's working ok for me, is there an app update you've missed? There were a whole raft of app updates after I installed IOS 10 but I'm not sure if YouTube was one of them.It won't allow me to select a channel from my subscriptions list - every time I try to select one it jumps back to whatever channel is at the top of my list, based on the latest video uploaded. A work iPad is now a brick after this upgrade! Long debate with Apple regarding getting it repaired, initially they wanted to charge £249.17 because it's more than a year old. They have agreed it comes under their extended terms and conditions and can be done for free.
Black screen, no apple or anything else ever appears on the screen. Plugged it into iTunes and it see's an iPad in recovery mode but can't complete the restore because it gets to the part where it's waiting for the iPad, which I guess means it's waiting for me to press something on the screen.
The funniest part was organising the repair collection.
"You can't send it back for repair until you disable find my iPad"
"I can't access the iPad so how do I do that?"
"Just remove it from your account in iCloud.com"
Strange policy, I'm sure they have a reason beyond people seeing where their top secret repair bunker is.

So is there any consensus on the iOS10 thing? I have a works iPhone that is sitting there telling me there is an update available. Plus I have a couple of iPads of various vintages at home looking for an update but I'm unsure whether to push the button yet. Will I brick them all, or is there a trick to getting them through?

Did my SE last night. Braved it over the air with no recent backup and went through with no issues. Kept the phone on charge throughout.Dr_Rick said:

Apple said that the issue that was bricking devices was fixed after a few hours. I've still not updated my iPad 2 yet, but that is more because I haven't used it.My phone app is freezing several times a day, have to force kill the task then it takes ages to open after that. I'm starting to get pissed off with apple, first the 7 is ste, now this, and my battery life has dropped massively in the last couple of months, i'm starting to want a note 7 if they can make them a bit less explodey.

Yep, I'm royally fed up with Apple as well but annoyingly I'm stuck in their ecosystem. All my friends and family use iMessage and it would be more of a pain to move to Android than it is to stick with Apple.I'm still running an iPhone 6 but sure enough, as with every other IPad or iPhone I've had, a couple of months before the release of a new phone it started getting that little bit slower. Now I've updated to iOS 10 and it's even slower. Emails take ages to load up, some emails load up with content of other emails (WTF is that?!), when writing text the curser is way behind what I'm actually typing (sort of stops and then catches up), battery life today has been 5 hrs to empty and browsing web pages has become painfully slow.
Are all the manufacturers like this? After two years is the product barely usable?
Edit: Oh, and Apple Music (apart from being hideous to look at) keeps saying 'Request Timed Out' and keeps stopping and starting through songs, on a 6 Mbps connection! fking uselsss.

The iPhone 7 is ste? Really? In what way? The Note 7 is a brilliant phone, but are you an android user or iPhone user? Because if you are an iPhone user, you may take a while to adapt to android (I did) and don't think the new Galaxy line are perfect, they DO lag. At first, they are ace, but after a few months they start to lag, stutter and freeze. And they seem to overheat and drain the battery without obvious explanation sometimes too. I move to Android from iOS about five years ago, and have had loads of Sammy phones. I just picked up an iPhone SE and love it hugely, and have an iPhone 7 Plus on (back, back, baaaaack...) order. All the reasons I left iOS have now been sorted, and I have to say I love it now. That's not to say I won't go back to Android if they produce an outstanding phone, but the lag and battery was driving me crazy, even if the 1440p screen is nice - although my relatively lo-res SE screen is still absolutely fine for me, and looking at the iPhone 7 Plus screen the other day - it easily matched my Samsung's screen.Crumpet said:
