Given what a 5k iMac costs, it's not a huge premium over that for the extra functionality. A Wacom Cintiq 27QHD is close to £2k, for a touch/tablet display with a quarter of the pixels and you still have to supply your own computer.

It looks really good to be honest, as does the new Surface Book. Quality hardware.

Windows ME
Windows Vista
Internet Explorer

These things kinda destroyed any brand credibility.

Frankly I wouldn't trust them with my money.

Thats a shame, windows 7 and on are really decent systems, even 8 when sorted worked well. Incredibly stable now too.

I haven't run Windows for a long time either, but I've used more recent versions on client systems. Still a bag of nails.

Shame, I've often liked their hardware.

Still dont know why people say that.

I've run windows in one for or another for decades at work and home, almost never have a problem, and 'windows' itself is only 5% of my time, the rest is spent in photoshop, visual studio, sql, lightroom, games etc.

Nobody really sits there and uses windows, its an OS that just does what it does.

Nice to finally see a bit of innovation and flair in the PC desktop market. Far too expensive for most though and doesn't even include a proper SSD!

I'm a CLI addict.

I run i3 as my wm and combined with tmux it means i only use the mouse when web browsing.
it just feels more efficient for me. i dont think its very easy to setup windows like that.

although the new bash on windows update sounds very interesting and may get me investigating it.
