Which domain register / hosting company

Personally, I would keep things separate.
DomainMonster are fine for the domain name - reasonably priced and their website for managing domains is pretty easy to use.
I would then use Gmail to provide the email - it's free. It takes about 10 minutes to link your newly purchased domain with Gmail.
For the web hosting, I don't really have any recommendations.
If you lump all of that with a single provider, and then you're not happy or you outgrow their offerings, then you might end up losing the domain name / email.
I agree with this, along with TSOHost for hosting. Although the recent takeovers don't sound great.DomainMonster are fine for the domain name - reasonably priced and their website for managing domains is pretty easy to use.

e Mail, booking site, website all set up and Googled in less than an hour.
So simple.
What are you lot on?

There is a rumour that GoDaddy are interested in them now - a great shameLooking for a new host in preparation
GoDaddy said it would explore options for HEG's PlusServer managed hosting business, including a possible sale.
HEG is currently owned by European private equity firm Cinven, which acquired the business in August 2013.
Reuters had reported last month that GoDaddy was in exclusive talks to buy the company. "
You have been warned
So I'm going to chuck some in here
No experience:
Hi Hosting
1&1
Nethosted: always seemed pretty good when contacting their support as a 3rd party
Trouble is for a few websites they don't have a plan - it's either 1 website or loads
I did email them for a hosting plan for 5 sites but they said no

I've had one host for over 12 years. It's a one-man operated site and I'm on first name terms with the chap who took over about 6 years ago as I was with the first chap. When I started I knew little about running a site and the chap was very helpful. I'm quite good now but recently changed to Wordpress. Every question I asked was answered promptly and clearly, just as with the previous chap. At one time I had four sites with the company.
I've created a number of other sites for friends and some have opted for more famous providers. Another demanded a British-based host so I've had half a dozen or so. I've only had problems with one host, and that's a big one. But it's easy enough to change hosts if they don't hold your URL.
I've used 123-reg for years for my addresses and I've found them helpful and had no problems, although I've seen one or two criticisms of them online.
I currently run sites on my 'old' host and also run one on 2020-Media, the latter proving no problem either.
My advice, and feel free to ignore it, is to go with a host for 12 months so that if they prove a problem you don't lose too much money if you want to abandon mid contract.

Bumping this as my deal with TSOHost is coming to an end, and I'm looking to move. Ideally I'd like a UK based company, with UK datacentres. I've been looking at Fasthosts or Easyspace, but open to other recommendations. It is for a Wordpress site and doesn't need to have email, as I haven that sorted elsewhere.
One other option I am considering is Amazon AWS...

I use Easliy.co.uk - and have done for nearly 20 years for both website and eMail. Excellent UK based customer support.
That redirects to a spam site!Easily.co.uk
