Can't see a thread on this. Anyone got one/want one? http://www.samsung.com/uk/gear-s3/

Quite like the look of it as it can pass for a regular watch, especially the Frontier model which is already sold out. Not sure about the price though at £349.

I've read several mostly positive reviews, most seem to criticise the lack of 3rd party apps, which also applied to the S2.

I can't seem to find out how well it works with a (non Samsung) Android phone, and what doesn't work. I read somewhere that email/text notifications don't work unless you have a Galaxy smart phone, but surely this can't be the case, even though it is using Tizen not Android Wear?

I had a play with one in the Carphone Warehouse a few days ago; a Classic, my main issue is I can see myself knocking and damaging it, even though it is well put together it does still feel flimsier and less robust than a normal watch, the size doesn't bother me as my wrist are fairly hefty, my current divers watch is 44mm and quite thick and it doesn't look out of place in situ, however when I put the S3 on, the leather strap only fastened comfortably on the 2nd to last hole, which means the strap really needs to be longer otherwise I'll end up with the remaining bit of strap un-secure and flapping about.

Reviews have been mostly positive but quite varied; 3 stars up to 4.5 stars, so it isn't universally praised.

I'm really drawn to one, no particular reason apart from I like gadgets and the functionality of it seems pretty good, however will it be either broken fairly soon, overly marked by knocking or consigned to the drawer in a few months time, that is my issue and why I have been thinking about a smart watch for a very long time. There are also many reports about smart watch sales absolutely tanking, will the smart watch disappear soon?

I have an S7 Edge so the watch is perfect for it.

I have an S2and tried the S3, I think it looks massive and I have a large wrist. I find the S2 does all I need but it hasn't changed my life.

Had a play with the Frontier in John Lewis, liked it and the size doesn't bother me.

The screen looks great and the UI with the bezel seems to work very well. I'm not keen on the look of the Classic though.

I'm not sure why it would be prone to any more damage than any other watch, so not an issue for me either.

I'm a bit disappointed that I can't get hold of one, or that it wont change my life laugh

Will have to keep my eyes open for when they are back in stock, maybe a Christmas present to myself?
