Pretty sure you can do dual language with the stock Android keyboard (I only have it set to English). On the other point, press and hold the Enter button and you get the option to snap the keyboard to a smaller one which you can shift left or right for easier one-thumb swiping. Press and hold the , for the same on the other side:



You can also use the little arrow on the left to move it over and the four-way arrow snaps back to full-size.

Nice! Last time I checked you had to swap languages,like on ios.

Just tested with two languages enabled and it works for both at the same time on the same keyboard (or at least it did for the limited French I know).

Note the EN+FR dual combo on the space bar:



I think you can change the primary keyboard (the pop-over you see on my screenshot) which would obviously give accents etc or foreign characters in preference to English ones, but both languages swipe/gesture type together.
