Recently bought a 2010 Kangoo for work, the shape pictured.

It replaced a 2002 Kangoo. The idea for some years with the old one was to buy a written off 172/82, strip its engine, brakes, fuel tank/lines, seats, steering wheel, plus probably other things that slip my mind, and make it a RenaultSport Kangoo.
Alas, it gradually became more and more tatty and tired, and the plan went out the window.

So, the question is now, which RS engines would fit in the new one? IE a Twingo 133, a 172/82, or a 197 or 200?

I have a mechanic friend who has already agreed a mates rate job.

Need to get Augusts wedding paid for, then if viable this can be the next save for!

Surely the only proper way to do this is to put something in the middle? Clio V6, Espace F1 inspired.

Except for the small detail that I need the load bay for work kit, shifting furniture etc. Nice idea mind!

Cool project Ill keep an eye open for this.

Not sure if you would be fussed but the 1.6 K4M engine was a bit gutless, fun to pin to the redline and bray the st out of in a twingo and clio but lacking any grunt low-mid. Not sure I would want one in a van...

Id sooner have an F4R and I dont believe there is much of a price difference between the two blocks.

Had to Google the F4R, and yes know it well, having previously owned a 172 Cup.

Has anyone any tips on if this or the later 197/200 would go in to the van without too much aggro?

Package the engine nicely and you might not take up tooooo much space! Perhaps consider a trailer?

I know absolutely nothing about the Kangoo, but with all these mentions of the F4R, wouldn't the F4RT (I know...) engine from the 225/R26/250 Cup be better suited to a van due to the extra torque?

Again a good idea, and an early smashed up one to gut would surely be cheap too. Anyone any ideas if it/what would fit mind, so I know what to plan from?

Ks go has only ever come with the 1.5 dci or the 1.6 VVT petrol.

I think a Twingo RS engine would fit.
