Anyone else having problems with yahoo mail tonight? I really need to get at an email but for an hour and a half all I've had is cannot find server or this page cannot be displayed grrrrrrrrr

Not looking cooperative here either. POP3 access works fine though.

Go to www.yahoo.com - and then SIGN IN that way. Seems to be .co.uk problems...

EDIT - Oooh, now that's playing up.

POP3 still OK...

I get as far as the sign in page and then back to being scuppered

Yahoo mail get's spam filtered ny everyone who runs a decent filter. I have no idea why anyone uses it.

You tick things you dont want spammed and then everything else is filtered

My yahoo.com adress works fine. I do think it's a .co.uk problem.

No, he means that a lot of people not using yahoo mail run spam filters that block emails from people that do use it.

However, decent spam filters do not indiscriminately block emails from large email providers just because a few tts use those providers to send spam

Sorry, I meant to say,

Yahoo mail get's spam filtered by everyone who runs a decent filter. I have no idea why anyone uses it.


Meaning I set up a new yahoo account, and everyone I sent mail to got my mail dumped as spam.

Maybe I caught them at a bad time, but I've never bothered with it since. Rubbish in my experience.

Hence why I can't seem to email anyone using AOL.

Well, they did have a massive power cut today at their HO in london so maybe their servers weren't on UPS's

When I went out earlier I couldn't even get POP3 to work. Now that's working things are looking up
