er... in English?

Sorry, I meant to say,

Yahoo mail get's spam filtered by everyone who runs a decent filter. I have no idea why anyone uses it.

Meaning I set up a new yahoo account, and everyone I sent mail to got my mail dumped as spam.

Maybe I caught them at a bad time, but I've never bothered with it since. Rubbish in my experience.

Thanks. Read it about ten times and thought what's he on about?!?

However, decent spam filters do not indiscriminately block emails from large email providers just because a few tts use those providers to send spam

I appreciate that, hence my possible bad day comment, but I used about seven different accounts to test, among them Spam Assassin, CanIt and Message Labs, harldy amateurs. At the point where the big boys feel the need to block huge ranges, there's obviously something very wrong somewhere.

It means you can use Outlook or Outlook express or whatever your favourite mail client is, to talk directly to the mail server, no need for the web client, and it seems that the web servers are down not the mail servers themselves.

(info on sarc/symantec research etc)

IME Yahoo mail goes up and down like a tarts knickers. Their DNS is nothing to write home about, either. I've never had problems with email source from Yahoo being rejected as spam, though.

It means you can download your yahoo mail to Outlook (or outlook express) like your standard ISP provided email, also something called client based email as opposed to web based email. I think Yahoo only allows POP3 for premium accounts though anyway.

I usually just use Gmail (though I have accounts with many free providers)

But very slowly and intermittently.

Causing me grief with the lottery syndicate for PH members

Even more so considering it's 2 days to closing date for payment.

I've been on today and it's been fine. Still does the dodgy password thing from time to time though.

Ouch!
The error, LaunchCurlError-28, occurred when trying to connect to Yahoo! Mail.

Didn't rocketmail get swallowed up into Hotmail? I could be wrong.
