iPod, podcast question

I've got a bunch of podcasts in my iTunes, but they aren't going onto the iPod automatically like the music does.

What do I have to do to get the little podcasts down the little wire to the little iPod?

I have this trouble as well. Although started happening as soon as i unsubscribed from it. Could be linked?

Did that and it worked, but how about automatically?

Like 'grab the BBC morning digest at 6:45, then bung it straight on the iPod automatically without me having to do anything'??
