Can anyone recommend a decent USB wireless adapter? Preferably one that is just plug and play with ubuntu 7.04 (which is most of the popular ones I guess?)

I was looking at this: http://computing.kelkoo.co.uk/sbs/100342823/123189...

I have one of these netgear wireless adapters (but a slightly older model) and it's good....but I couldn't get it do wpa with ubuntu. Admittedly I didn't spend much time trying, but from what i read, you have to be pretty specific with the make and model of adapter you buy to get wpa working. IMO there is no point having wireless if you don't use WPA so that was the end of that for me!

When buying, try and check which firmware revision the device is. I have a D-Link DWL-122G and Rev A & B were reported to work out of the box under Ubunto. Rev C (which was the one I got) didn't and involved a lot of head-scratching to get working.
