registering new email address
Discussion
If you want to access the mail via outlook then you've got two choices
a) if you already have an email account somewhere which you can access via outlook you can just get a domain with free email forwarding (click the banner up top / check my profile!)
b) if you dont have an email server already, you can get one with unlimited email addresses, along with a web server and file storage space (again click banner, choose a VDS hosting account from £33 a year )
Tons of PH'rs already signed up
Let me know if you have any queries.

Another easy option is to register your domain (yourbusinessname.co.uk) with someone (like the excellent, already mentioned Register1)
then add google apps to the domain.
You can then send & receive your email through outlook / express, and if you want a copy to remain on webmail you can do. Ideal if you are away from your desk and want to check your email, you can do it at an internet cafe.
The Google Apps is free BTW.

I use 123reg.co.uk for my companys domain and alot of my customers.
You can buy a .co.uk for £2.59 a year then if you want an outlook email account (POP3 Box) its an extra 83p a month.
Works out at £17.79 inc VAT for 2 years ownership of the .co.uk and 1 year e-mail hosting.
You can then have a really nice looking e-mail address such as...
firstname@lastname.co.uk
Hope this helps!

Will second the 123-Reg recommendation. They've simply been brilliant, in my experience. I've got around 100 or so domains with them - and their control panel clinched it for me. No facking about e-mailing your provider to sort things out for you - all in your control, and with suitable warnings where necessary! (And allows proper DNS-pointing - as opposed to crappy forwarding - which some cheaper teeny-bopper registrars pass off as acceptable practice - this doesn't relate to e-mail, though!)
Their support pages even have a brilliant video walk-through of how to set up your Outlook.
Once you have your POP=box, it's a cinch!
1) Buy domain
2) Buy POP box
3) Allocate POP box to your new domain via control panel, thereby creating an e-mail address at that domain name, at the same time
4) Let Outlook's wizard (or 123-Reg support pages) help you with creating a new account
Job done!
All you need to know to set up Outlook is your new e-mail address, your username and password for your new POP box (which you'll be provided once you buy it), what your 'Outgoing server' is called - which will be POPHOST.123-REG.CO.UK (iirc) if you're with 123-Reg, and your incoming server name you'll need to find out from your internet service provider - e.g. with Zen it's mailhost.zen.co.uk (from memory!). You just go to your ISP's support pages and look up setting Outlook up, for that info.
And that's it!
