Even for me, this is going to be a mind numbingly banal thread.

I need some memory sticks, 30 to be precise, for a schools job next week. They need not be very flash (no pun intended, but if it'll get me a titter ill take it) as the kids will almost certainly steal them at the end of the day. or break them. or steal then break them. or stab me with them.

usually i get this kind of tedious nonsense from ebuyer, but they're not showing anything for less than 8 quid a go, and there isnt enough money in the job to afford to waste 240 quid.

Likewise ebay is only showing affordable stuff in japan and rather bizarrely amazon is showing the kind of thing i want (like a couple of quid a piece) but when you go to order them it adds 100 quid of postage. so, I'm stuck, and I'm tired of looking now, after 3 hours of trying. can anyone recommend somewhere to get something like this from? please?

if it helps, in the past Ive been able to get kingston data travellers for about 2 quid a go, but all memory sticks below 5 quid seem to have just vanished.

thanks in advance, and apologies for the dullness.
N.

I'm sure there was a thread about this not so long ago nerv. Think it was specifically about branded ones mind.

Have you tried the nerds on the computer section?

I can't help as I tend to buy and plop it through on expenses (so I don't care about the price) but I am mildly amused by your expectations of the kids you're teaching.laugh

Anything in particular?

i.e. Does it have to work, be a specific sort?

Probably got some old EDO stuff somewhere (and possibly other bits and bats if you want it)

NP

Did see some ridiculously cheap ones in Halfords the other day (confused me too). Can't recall the damage precisely though.

Best I can find is £4.45 each with free delivery. Says they do deals for bulk orders so might be worth a go?

they need only be memory sticks in the sense that the little darlings can store their work on during the day, then load it onto a computer in the hall linked to a projector when they do their presentations.

Ive probably called them the wrong thing, apologies. Should it be flash drives or something?

Nah, just didn't quite grasp exactly what you meant (nearly said got hold of the wrong end of the stick but thought better of it)

Think trooperiziz will take some beating with his find......
