The battery life on my sony vio laptop is shocking. Lasts only around 20 mins...Is there some thing I am missing...I have battery meter set to "laptop"
A) How old is it? B) Go in to the BIOS, then see if it will give information on the battery; it should tell you what condition the battery is (i.e. what % of the battery works). If it's something like 35% then it's blown cells. If under warranty, go forth and arse kick.
I've got the VGN-SZ4X and the battery life is crap and last for about 90mins. BUT Turning the wirless and bluetooth off and dimming the screen by three clicks makes a huge difference. Give it a try.
