On Vista I have Windows Mail, not right impressed with it at the moment but it does what it should do, BUT it is slow and doesn't visually show me that I have in coming mail, is it possible to do this, on my old XP computer a box poped up in the middle of the screen saying that I have new mail, the vista one only makes a noise (which I have changed to one I can
ear better).

Also sometimes when you send mail or open up mail, a clear box appears with nothing in it, only way to get it back to normal is shut the thing down, is there anything I can do about it, I did think Microsoft would have sorted these things out by now on Vista, but it appears not.

Vista Mail is somewhat of a stop gap, and I don't even think they are bug fixing for it whilst they ready Windows Live Mail as the next big thing.

To be honest Thunderbird http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/products/thunderb... is going to be a bit nicer and is free. Not perfect by any stetch of the imagination, but better than Vista Mail.
