Domain Name and Webhost Problems

Hello guys/gals, thought this section would best fit my problem.


I signed up 2 days ago to 123reg.co.uk and ordered a .co.uk domain and their largest amount of webspace. It all went through ok, said it was set up, so I opened my FTP software put in my account details, and their hosting address ect.. and got onto my webspace. Uploaded my html files along with the css and the images, type in my web address in IE (www.eastcoastimaging.co.uk) and nothing. It doesn't load or anything.


I have another website on my virgin free web space and that works fine. Their help files on their site don't address my problem at all, and their phone line isn't open until Monday.

Does anyone know what could of gone wrong?

You answered your own question!

123-Reg are not serving DNS for your domain name.

host eastcoastimaging.co.uk
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

Without DNS, nobody knows where to go to find your website.

Contact 123-Reg support and ask them to assist you, that's what you pay them for

Slap yourself for not choosing the PH'rs choice of webhost (check profile!) and then ask god to forgive you

Once the DNS has been setup and propogated your sites should be up (assuming the files have gone to the correct place).

Oh right, I will get onto them first thing Monday morning.

Having searched google a few times for web hosting and domain names, I never saw the name of yours. Perhaps if it had came up on the search engine, I may of been swayed towards yours.

123 are good and will sort you out no probz.. Ive got nearly a hundred domains with them and they've never yet screwed me..
