How much roughly for a small card reader to plug in back of PC & Mac,
so I can transfer pictures off my cameras card

Go get one.
I find it's quicker to take the card out and plug it into a USB card reader than find a connecting lead, wait for the camera to switch on and wait for the 'special' software to load and detect the camera.
Transfer speed is a bit faster and it doesn't run down the camera battery.

Right had a look at those
its an SD card bog standard but Mac has no slot for it,
my PC had and very handy it was indeed,
Just wanted the option to use camera at work and quickly transfer its images quickly to use in E-mail
