bummer.

Tried everything and it doesn't look like its helped the problem one little bit.

Connecting wirelessly or through a wired connection its as if the computer has decided to stop any activity happening. Strength of connection is good but activity of packets sent is currently 220 and recieved is 55 and only increasing by 1 or 2 packets every few minutes.

Absoloutely nothing can get transmitted from the computer. Even the spyware programs can't connect to download updates. Could this be some sort of encryption.

Web sites still say page cannot be displayed. Its as if the computer is not connected to an internet connection.

Anyway, thanx for all the help. I think the last option is to take it to a computer shop and see what they can do. Thanx again

have you tried installing another browser ?

can you run hijackthis.exe? you'll need to copy onto PC.
it will produce a log of whats running.
