Want to get a cheap wireless bridge to hook up the Xbox (once I have installed XBMC) to the wireless network - does anyone have any suggestions?

Be careful with WRT54 routers, they changed the hardware to run VX Works on some of the newer versions and you will/may have trouble loading a 3rd party firmware.

Double check the version of the router and cross check with the firmware vendor.

(I run about 10 WRT as a community broadband scheme with the SVEASoft firmware).

I've got a Belkin wireless bridge running to a HP Procurve ethernet switch, works quite well.

I used to do it but now prefer the Develo 200mb homeplugs....

As mentioned before ddwrt prefers the older 54gs models although it ran quite happily on a later version after some hassle.
