can anyone help please?
I want to connect a laptop to my netgear router that I am using but I have forgotten the network key anyone know if I can find it somewhere on my pc that is currently plugged into it with a cable ?

You should be able to just simpley reset the password to a new one through your admin controls of the router thats what I did for my Belkin one.

Just use your internet browser to look at your router address. It will probably be 192.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.2 or something very similar. You should get a page up that shows you all sorts including the key needed.

http://192.168.0.1  is default for Netgear, username admin password 'password'
Check the wireless settings area via the menu on the left.

got same hassle for parents pc, worked fine on my LAN and thought nothing of it as had installed and fully updated their PC, when took it back to their house, BT router had no effect. Norton could accuratley find it, but could not use firefox or ping the router. BT tech support told me to do all the checks I had already done, so they shipping out a new router to use the USB option, neither the usb lead or the setup CD could be found

got told it was 198.168.1.1, the local ip address was 198.168.1.2

just hope when the parents fit the usb connection for the router it will work smile
