Hi folks

Having recently had trouble with IE6 after a dodgy MS update(now sorted thanks to advice from a computer forum) I am looking at installing FireFox as an alternative means of internet access.

Can anyone tell me if the internet connection settings are installed automatically on download or do they have to be created manually. If manually where do I find them. Is there any danger of the download affecting my IE 6 connection settings?

Cheers

d/l the latest version, when it asks you if you want to import IE settings, u can click yes or no
choose which it is and that's it

as above, its automatic but for reference its
tools menu -> options -> network

the only setting it can change which would affect IE is 'default browser' obviously if FF is your default then IE wont open when you click on stuff. they run fine side by side & i much prefer FF.

Thanks folks. How do I ensure I keep IE as my default until I get used to FireFox. Is there a box to tick somewhere?

Thanks again
