Hosted Exchange Server Issue..

Hi

I am trying to connect to a hosted exchange server account via BT Broadband connection and finding it very slow to connect and use when it does actually connect. I have tried connecting using an alternative location / ISP on the same laptop and it works a treat!..

So the question is does any one know why it is unreliable via BT broadband or is having a similar issue? Does BT block or throttle the exchange server ports etc?..

It's nothing to do with the fact it's BT broadband as such. There may be a localised issue. I know because we make extensive use of hosted exchange services over BT, Tiscali, AOL and Griffin broadband in various flavours.

Maybe the DNS servers the BT DSL is using.. try using some alternate ones..

Have you tried over a VPN instead of over public internet..
