For some bizarre reason, the UK is more expensive than pretty much everywhere else. Given the latest change in the O2 contracts for the iPhone, its actually not that bad. Yes the phone itself is expensive but to directly compare UK to USA prices is never going to work.

no offense taken mate, i do understand what you mean but not much smaller than the nokia n95's screen plus battery life is fantastic get nearly a week from mine (with minimal wifi action) plus in my opinion looks great.

Different US states have different sales taxes and luxury/gas guzzler taxes.

So that price is just "pre-tax" whereas the UK price is with VAT. Now VAT is a lot higher than even the most taxing of states, if let us compare things properly please This is pedants corner, afterall
