But more because they didn't collect all the premium payments rolleyes, than a who is at fault dispute smile

Evidently they collected 3 of 4 payments, yet the policy says 3 payments, and they don't chase you, just lapse the policy - I wonder how many others have been caught out like that?

Still, it can be claimed on my Home insurance and they have got someone getting in touch with me in the next 2 days. They asked if I thought it could be repaired and I said not a chance - it went bang usually not a good sign that hehe
Are they allowed to do that?

Might be worth speaking with the FSA as it sounds like very sharp practice.

Most likely are allowed to do it. Contrary to popular belief, the FSA regulations are very lax in most areas of insurance.

So a payment schedule was organised, to take four payments and they only took three.

The contract says that they are allowed to void the policy because of lack of payment, yet it was THEY who didn't take the payment.

Did you do anything to impede them from taking payment?

How far apart were the payments?

Without knowing anymore, unless it was made clear to you that they would NOT take the final payment automatically and that would then void the policy then I'd contact the FSA.

I'm not surprised he was nice. They got 75% of the Premium for no risk after the third payment.

How much, if you don't mind saying, was this Protection Cover?

It was my own fault I fear, I set up a standing order for 3 payments, as per the instructions, IF i had read it properly, and worked out the cost, I'd have seen that there should have been 4 frown

Not to worry, they'd not have paid out anyway, he told me that much laugh
