My PC has given me a couple of problems recently and I reloaded the operating system back on it. I lost everything I had on the computer (must remember back ups from here on in ) so I am trying to upload things back to it.

When I try and load some tape from a camcorder a message comes up saying that Windows can't find the 'Audio hardware device' or something similar.

Now if its been wiped/removed where do I get a new device/driver from and what would it be called ??!!

go to device manager & find out the hardware then google the maker. you can normally get all the drivers off their sites.
windows+break for system properties
hardware tab
device manager

probably, it'd make sense.
anything that doesnt have the drivers installed should have a yellow question mark or a red exclamation mark next to it anyway.
