Need to get my Mum a new PC, it will only be used for Internet, Word and Pictures and not very often unless I am there to hold her hand! So any suggestions? I have bought Dell before and this looks good value. The one for £379.00. all in.

Anywhere else I should look, don't want to spend much more as it will only be used once a week!

For that remit, pretty much any pc will be fine.

www.dmxdimension.com or co.uk will list the "Dell deals of the day" smile

I'm a big Dell fan - I've bought five hundred or so in the last ten years, mostly optiplex.
I recently bought one of those consumer-type Inspiron PCs for my brother - it keeps on shutting itself down. There are many people reporting the same problem without a satisfactory resolution. It may be the case there is a dodgy batch but I'd avoid these particular models for a while.

Interesting...when did your Brother get his dodgy PC?

Dodgy's probably a bit unfair as yet - I'll give them more time to correct it. wink
