A pointless post yes, but it amused me when I did it! hehe only out of my sheer idiocy mind... wink
Not a cock up of the OS, I shall admit, but a user cock up!
I just crashed my mac rather amusingly when I was copying some new music to my directory and then to itunes. I selected all the folders, (all 500 of them!) and accidentally hit open...
Look at the pretty pattern 500 finder windows make in expose... wink

Oh and 768mb RAM just isn't enough for that sort of thing wink
Sorry for wasting your time, but it made me smile smile

hehe I did something similar the other day but didn't think to 'expose'! I'll remember for next time.

hehe

I managed to do something similar on Windows. It was a live server and it ended up opening up something like 200 text documents. Took something like 45 minutes to stop and allow you to actually do something about it and rescue the situation. The whole thing ground to a halt and ended up being a bit 'unresponsive'.

I got grief for weeks after that....

I'm glad I'm not the only one that found it amusing then! hehe
i was surprised it made a pretty pattern though, for me, that was the icing on the cake! biglaugh
As I was completely at a loss as to how to shut them, I just turned it off.
When I hit open and saw windows flying up everywhere, I burst out laughing and thought 'this is going to take a while...'
My mac owning friends at work had a good chuckle about it as well, well with me being the newbie to OS X, it was only fair... wink
