Make sure you download the latest firmware. The latest software is great.

How about the HP MediaSmart server with Windows Home Server ?

Anyone got one ?
I have just got a TranquilPc http://www.tranquilpc-shop.co.uk/acatalog/T2_WHS_A... running WHS.

You get a bi more fancy stuff with the HP IIRC, but it does have a fan. Fans annoy SWMBO.

Really pleased with it. I know it is Windows, but so far has been utterly simple. Have now got Hamachi running on it, so have a VPN back to base. My shared OneNote notebooks work like a charm.

Some good money back deals from Comms Express at the minute too. Think a 1Tb NAS kitted with 2 disks (so 2 free bays) is ~450GBP.

Don't mistake it for a cheapo. Top quality bit of kit.
