Ps - the reason there are now so many cracks is that so many "geniuses" if you will at the apple store have been prodding at the glass etc :S
what were they prodding it with? a hammer?

Warranty covers inherent defects.

Being a fumbling buffoon is not an inherent defect.

Of the phone, anyway.

But manufacturers warranties don't cover accidental damage, your house insurance probably does.

Smart idea, as opposed to posting on internet forums on how to best defraud a company.

yes house insurace does cover accidental damage, but there was no need as there was no accidental damage, surely this goes to proove that if i did drop it i would have simply claimed of my home insurance, however it was a hardware issue.

Surly this is for apple engineers to look inside and see whats going on?
If you send it back, they will, and if I ask really nicely, I'll get to see a copy of their report biggrin

Thesheephair,

I am an AppleCare supervisor and, despite what all these clowns on this board are saying, I actually have seen a verified case of this before. If you'd like, you can email me your AppleCare case number, and I will put a note on the file that will get your repair expedited for you.
strange that - a brand-new user who just happens to be the exact person the OP needs. and one who 'verifies' this has happened before. what are the odds???

wonder if the IP addresses match?

If the glass is bonded to the case works and the case melts / expands with heat couldn't it cause the screen to crack rather than melt.

Not defending the OP in any way but pointing out the glass melting at 1500deg is a red herring, why only the other day I broke a mirror on my car and it was freezing.

Of course it will. Presumably caused by the impact damage on the front screen.

If Jedibugs is for real, then he/she will be able to tell me what the connection between Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and the iPhone is. You can send me mail though my profile if you wish.

That is bull. You asked on another thread about if heat was a possible reason, because you wanted a 'cover story.' Ie. the real reason is something else.

Get lost and stop trying to get us in helping you commit fraud.
