As I said, send it to tell Apple and tell your tale. Its quite clear from your posts on here and macrumours you are lying or at least not telling the whole truth, but I suppose if I am being at my most kind I would admit that perhaps you are just severely misunderstand.

But completely separate from that, do you honestly, hand on heart, think that nobody in the history of consumer electronics has attempted to send back a product that quite clearly has suffered impact damage in the hope of getting a new one?

well that nasty packaging was just a jail for the poor phone, it NEEDED to be broken free of it, so expert advice is obviously called for
