This post is a SCAM.
The same user made a post several days ago on Macrumors claiming his father had dropped the phone cracking the screen. He was trying to get advice on how to get Apple to replace the phone for free and even suggested that he would attempt to convince them the unit had overheated resulting in a cracked screen.

sadly the new T&Cs prevent me from telling a scammer like you exactly what i think of you and what i think you should do with the phone you broke. The same user made a post several days ago on Macrumors claiming his father had dropped the phone cracking the screen. suffice to say, it isn't 'send it back to apple for a free replacement'.

how on earth can plastic melt from dropping it !
Strange that, here is your post from the 'other' site !!iphone smashed by dad :O :@
Well he dropped it and now the bottom of the screen is cracked, its a very big crack like 4 cm ones so yeah its had it, its jailbroken and activated (dev) etc. So where do i go from here?
Do you think apple will replace it? i was thinking that i could give it a clean swipe and say to apple i was charging and woke up with the screen cracked, most likely due to the heat and it stopped responding so i did a restore on it.
What you guys think? + what is virginising your iphone mean????
How can i give it a clean swipe ?
THanks for all the help muchos apreciateddd

well as first i didnt believe that heat could crack a screen, therefore i put all blame on dad as he was the last one to touch it, after inspecting the back of the iphone i noticed that plastic was melted, so it must have been the over heating to crack the screen, whats difficult? i admit my bad on assuming my dad broke the phone, when he didnt....
hence posts wondering at what temperatures would glass crack, how i could get a replacement and not blame that it was done by accident when it turned out that it actually wasnt !
sheesh get facts right

Jailbroken means that it has been hacked, i thought jailbroken meant that it was opened and turned on and not out of the box in new condition, i stupidly thought jail was the box and broken opened so therefore the seal was broken on the iphone box.. wayy arnt i smart.

While I don't doubt that heat could indeed crack the glass on an iPhone, that picture you posted clearly shows a piece of glass with what appears to be an impact mark.
Given the fact your story is inconsistent, how are we to know that you didn't do the burn damage yourself?
I'd hazard a guess and suggest a lighter would cause that kind of damage if applied gently.Given the fact your story is inconsistent, how are we to know that you didn't do the burn damage yourself?
1. Ofocourse you wont believe heat cant crack glass, hence why i didnt believe it myself, i straightaway assumed it was my dad who broke it as he was the last one to touch it, then i inspected the back and it had melted.
2. i guess thats upto apples engineers to open it and look at it as they will do before repairing/replacing it
people are to quick to judge

LOL. Quote of the week."Sorry officer, when I heard the adverts on tv say 'don't drink and drive' I thought they meant go out and get pissed and got for a quick blast, sorry, won't happen again!"

Why would your dad have removed it from the docking cradle (that you admitted placing it in)?2. i guess thats upto apples engineers to open it and look at it as they will do before repairing/replacing it
