I stumbled across this on the web:
http://www.my-receiver.com/receiver_detail_253.php

Is there any reason not to buy one ?

In my google based research there were some mumblings about UK freesat specifations that hadn't been set yet, must admit that doesn't mean much to me ...

I found some old threads of PVRs but nothing seemed to mention this.

google just showed me this post and as a PHer I figured I'd let you know how the Icord runs in the UK (experience so far)

Plus:
very easy to set up (remember to turn network search on when scanning for channels)
HD is better than standard picture, so if you can get it then have it - not many HD PVR arround
recording is good
multi channel recording - check you have up to date firmware
firmware is easy to update

Minus
a little noisy from hard disk (sorbathane feet - from hifi shop help)
most channels are scrambled (looking into cards to sort this) but notably ch4 and 5 channels are scrambled
the schedule / EPG isn't great - think this is because it cann't find the epg channel

overall though its a good box and once I have the relevant card installed I think it will be great. However I know that Humax are a major player in Freesat, so you may find that there are more 'out ofthe box' products on the way

All the best

Looks like the basic design is the same as the PVR-9200 which is a good basis to start with.
