Hi all

Need a bit of advise re hosting, we have recently had a sbs 2003 installed ( we have 10 pcs off the server ) our current hosting company only offers pop3 I have been advise I need SMTP feed for email we currently have a peice of software that provides this ? do we need
We only have a small website and email facility

Somone has given you duff advice. SBS 2003 comes with a pop3 connector for exchange.

If you want SMTP, you have two choices.

a) use the one that comes with IIS (not a good idea if you're on a DSL link as alot of these aren't treated too kindly in the anti-spam lists / your ISP may find you in breach of their AUP

b) get a hosting account which provides you with an SMTP server.

The Reg1 VDS and VDS Pro accounts both offer SMTP (and pop3/imap/webmail/php/mysql/the moon on a stick/etc) from £33 a year!
