Hi All,

I'm hoping someone may be able to point me in the correct direction...

Years ago we had our company website designed by a one man web design company.

A couple of years ago i believe this company went out of business and we have no way of contacting the guy who did everything.

I know which company hosts the domains, however what I need to know is how would we now going about updating or changing the website?

I assume we need accesss to the original code or something?? Is this something the hosting company can provide us with?

Sorry if this is basic stuff, I'm a web design numpty!!

Thanks,
Paul.

First question really is, do you pay for hosting?

If not then i would try and find out who is, and contact them as they will be the ones who have access to your website.

If you pay for hosting, contact the hosting company asking for FTP details and then go from there.

Thanks Tim, we do pay for the hosting now, after a lot of problems, i have no idea what FTP details are but i'll ask!

Aye,

Your hosting company will be able to help

If you're stuck, let us know the domain name and we'll be able to point you at your Web Host.

Check out my profile and drop me a mail if you get bored / stuck.
