Just sorting out my Desire prior to selling it and found this ROM, nothing out of the ordinary as a ROM apart from the fact that it includes the camera from the HTC Amaze, which is just a little bit cool and features:

SmartShot™ - takes 5 photos and compiles the best parts to create one perfect shot.
BurstShot™ - capture 5 consecutive shots with just one click, so you never miss the action.
SweepShot™ panorama - take ultrawide shots then sweep in any direction.
ClearShot™ HDR - see crystal clear detail even when shooting in mixed or direct light.
Perfect Pics™ - analyzes & scores your photos then groups the best ones for easy sharing!

Going to give it a try and see what it's like.

Seems to be so far. It does feature a nice installer so you can pick various options as you install it as well which is a nice touch. Other than that it seems as good as any other Sense ROM I've seen on the Desire.

The One X is listed as being £470 on PAYG, so 400-430 for the One S maybe? Same price as the Desire when that launched if so.

the thing that puts me off is the lack of changeable battery, since I've had Nokias I've always had second batteries!!

Oooo I forgot I could sell my Desire as well. That might half the cost of a One S.

You won't go far wrong with a cynagen rom IMO.

found a One X listed on amazon for pre-order. £530.

As tempted as I am by the X, I quite like the look of the One S.

Less than 24 hours in and it keeps crashing. Shame as the camera really was quite clever. Now switched to AcesMOD007 3D, lets see how this runs.

Remember the samsung galaxy s3 is to be announced just shortly ... maybe worth comparing them to see if either is a better deal!

mmm true.

But to be honest, I have grown rather fond of the Sense overlay.

I take it the Samsung S3 will continue using a vanilla Android OS?

Bought myself a sensation, it had a couple of problems but after 2 visits to HTC (2 visits being my fault not theres) 7 days exactly on both visits ... I have now rooted and installed Android Revolution HD, nice and smooth, looking forward to the ICS ROMs going from RC to stable
