Ripping from the iPlayer

Can ayone tell me if it's possible to "rip" from the BBC iPlayer?

I want to record a section of this:

I use getiplayer on Ubuntu, not sure on anything else.

iPlayer Grabber is available for OS X (free too) and works really well - radio & TV, though can't do HD

Not that I know of.

Maybe use a linux live CD and run the program I mentioned if that is possible, I can't remember off the top of my head.

There's IPDL for Windows, but I can't vouch for its success or security because I haven't really used it.

Depending om what you want to do with the file you can download it straight from the iplayer page. This of course has DRM issues if you wish to re-encode it. If you use this method though no problems.

I have used it and its fine, it just downloads it as a drm free program that can be transfered to your media player.

+1 its very good. Can get for windows now too.
