Yeah, this one is 1,000,000 steps : yikes: this is the first time this has happened, they've always been 6-8 hour WUs

I think most of my work units have just taken 1 - 2 hours. I assume the points awarded are based on the size of the work units. Im on holiday from work just now and havent done any gaming because im busy preparing to build my new garage. So I have left my pc on during the day the last couple of days running Folding hence the points so far.

Downloaded it and my first work unit on the PC there (user name D7LAN, joined the team).

However, I think there may be a problem with it. When I click on "Display", a window will open shortly followed by "viewer.exe has stopped working". Also, if I click on my statistics, it's giving me a finish time of 01:11...on October 25th! hehe

Have just seen how many TFLOPS the PS3 can process on this ..... JAYSUS H Christ I didn't know the flipping thing could manage that. No wonder its worth some good points from the Folding Program.

My entry level graphics card is having a bit of an issue keeping up with the PS3. Still yet to finish a single WU though as I don't leave them on very often.

Right I've just had a dig around and it seems that those long work units are once a blue moon types, they yield 1250 points but they shouldn't appear often at all

Can you switch the PS3 off anyway if its taking longer than you'd like? and then just resume another time?

Ive rebooted my PC (after a software install), and it carried on from where it was when i shut it off (i think it just had to re-crunch the previous 1% it had actioned but nothing worse than that)

You can but the deadline time is a week on the long units and 48 hours on the shirt ones, it will still complete it but you won't get points for it.

Ok, I've downloaded and joined the PH team.

I've a question : On the website it shows a screen shot with the current thing it's working on nice a large, taking the whole screen. But mine just shows a little box in the right-hand, bottom of the screen with the thing spinning round. Is this what everyone else gets or is there an option to make it fill the whole screen, cus I've checked every option and I can't find it ?

If you press select it'll cycle through different views. I think it's select, if not just button mash until it happens wink

Just downloaded this to one of my servers and set it running. Put the team number in so hopefully I will appear on there at some point.

I'm also intending to use the PS3 but as I am quite forgetful I imagine the server will do most of the work.

When I first glanced at this thread, I thought it was all a bit SkyNet!!

After reflecting for a few days, I've signed up on the PC and this morning fired off the first go - team PH.

Given it is genuine, what a fantastic idea!!
