Not bad from a 10MB connection over a wireless network.
Which virgin package are you on? I get near 10Mb down but only 0.48Mb upload, you appear to be getting double the upload. I'm on medium Virgin BB.

I use a Slingbox which needs upload!

Almost out in the sticks, about £40 a month including phone.

They told me at least 19Mb when I got it so I'm getting more than what I pay for.

I'm over 3 miles from our exchange, so the most I can get is about 2.5mbps. This was acceptable at first, but it is really starting to piss me off now. Neither BT Infinity or Virgin Media are scheduled to be installed in our village. I would happily pay £50 a month if I could get 30mbps.

Talk Talk have got LLU in our exchange. Would that improve my speed at all, or is it totally dependent on the distance from the exchange?

I'm not sure on the exact price for the connection, the monthly cost includes some other services and runs well into four figures. It's a 10Mb ethernet connection, the installation cost was even more scary. Speed is only part of the picture though.

Potentially, customer service might not be what you're used to though.

Enter your postcode here and see if anyone locally has posted a speed test with TalkTalk:

That's a fantastic price for a fantastically speedy connection.

Sadly that's not something you can get in this location for that price, and I doubt it has a similar SLA to our connection. I suspect office space is also cheaper in Bulgaria, but it'd take me a while to get to meetings. smile

Whenever I've had to call out a BT engineer they've told me in advance that if the problem was on my side of the master socket I'd have to pay a call out fee...
But when the engineer arrived there was no sign of a fault either side of the socket - And I didn't see fit to mention any work I had done on my own wiring!

It would be good to say how much you pay for your service as well.
