Harman Kardon and DAB are good options . Try the Performance pack , if its too firm fret not . buy the right car and get someone like MKB to fit a quaiffe diff or I believe merc can retrofit the diff ( or at least used too ) .
I know someone who wanted the diff but not the hard dampers and thats what he did ( fitted a quaiffe ) .
Great car , good choice

Mine is due to arrive 30th December, i was chasing an end of year deal and this particular car was avaliable and it ticked 99% of what im looking for, saloon in palladium, LSD, carbon interior and exterior, DAB, harmon Kardon. Performance pack would be nice but to me LSD is the most important thing having owned M cars.
Good choice Vesuvius.
I bought a Black PP car at the start of this year.
I still get excited when I start the car up - the soundtrack is truly phenominal!
The PP will have a harsher ride than your R32 but that is a small consolation.
The 18 inch wheels have a marginally better ride than the 19's but shouldn't sway you.
Aesthetically, the 19's are the choice but considering how long the tyres can last, 18's may be prudent. Not to mention that punctures can occur at anytime! Just something to think about.
I live in London and find that it is a car that is very suitable for the myriads of potholes, gradients of road and speed bumps - the C63 is probably more relaxing to drive than a 997 manual turbo around london.
I find that i am quite happy to leave the C63 parked anywhere without too much fear of the jealous brigade damaging it.
Costs wise, they are pretty fair for the performance received.
Fuel and MPG are par for the course dependant upon your lead foot and driving style / freqency.
Road Tax is north of £400 per annum.
Servicing is not as expensive as I had imagined - a Service 'B' was significantly cheaper than the BMW equivalent of an inspection 2
Depreciation - I picked my car up in the mid 40's with 4k on the clock, it now has 11k miles and is probably worth mid to high 30's.
Any Negatives?
This is a contentious one but I find that the steering 'feel' is not as good as the M3 but I am can't say it's bad or anything!
Also, stick to sensible colours - dont fall into the trap of getting a white car - they look good on a sunny day but in reality it just shouts 'look at me' on a car that represents aesthetic subtlety!
Get it bought!

Firstly what a fantastic car.
Secondly to the owner of the white C63 AMG on a private plate on the M62 (M1/A1M - M62 )on the 20th Dec 1130 ish. Dont worry it was`nt a standard MG ZT :-)
However, you could have nodded as I came up alongside in the 50 MPH Zone, Bad Form, Bad Form :-)

Can someone please let me know the difference between the performance pack and performance pack plus? I've seen some cars described as having a 'drivers pack', and even a 'perfornace sports pack plus'- all a bit confusing.
Do they both the pp and ppp offer the 30 bhp extra, and which was available on the earlier cars?
Also, what's the best way to 100% confirm if a car has one or the other?
Most people highlight it as the option to have on the c63, the one I test drove didn't have the pp, is there really such a big difference in performance/handling?

My understanding is only the 'plus' has the 30hp increase -Do they both the pp and ppp offer the 30 bhp extra, and which was available on the earlier cars?

Performance pack=
"The performance pack gives you a set of ceramic front brakes, an AMG Performance steering wheel with leather and Alcantara, a limited-slip diff and Performance suspension" and "For £3210 you get new springs (10 per cent stiffer), composite brakes, aluminium trim, a leather/Alcantara steering wheel and, most notably, a locking rear differential"
Performance pack plus=
"For those seeking a little more output from the C63 AMG, Mercedes has announced the availability of a new Performance Package Plus which aims to make the model even more appealing. Available ex factory, power in the C63 AMG is increased 22 kW/30 hp to 358 kW/487 hp, enough to help the model accelerate from 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds and 0-124 mph in 13.9 seconds (standard C63 AMG: 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds and 0-124 mph in 15.2 seconds). Top speed remains at 155 mph, electronically limited"
"Other highlights of the C63 AMG Performance Package Plus include a new AMG high-performance braking system, a carbon fiber spoiler lip on the trunk and a new AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather/Alcantara"
Drivers package=
"Anyone wanting a higher top speed can purchase the AMG driver's package. This costs £2160, raises the top speed to 174mph and includes a driver training day"
I'm not sure the 'performance pack' is available on the latest C63 models. I *think* only the 'performance pack plus' and the 'drivers pack'?
