And that's the beauty of perpetual car prison (PCP) ! wink
But effectively leasing a car for £30k before tax, petrol, servicing and insurance is not a bargain as some silly phucker further up the thread thinks, is it? PCP mind control strikes again!
PCP gets some people into cars they can't afford to OWN ! wink

Someone will be along soon to say that they invested the equity into something else which quadrupled in value, making them tens of thousand in profit. They never say what this investment is though........
wink
Quick Robsti in pcp bashing shocker!!!!

BTW it's under £28k not £30k and this is before negotiating with the dealers; and as amazing as that crystal ball of yours is at predicting they'll be no equity in the car at the end of the term can you show us all these £27k 3 year old C63s with less than 30k miles on them.

These sort of cars aren't going to be free to own, but if sensibly bought/sold I reckon this deal would cost about £21/22k over 3 years, not too bad considering.

ETA: Soovy if you want me to sanity check any deal you get offered I'm more than happy to have a look for you....might even be able to beat it! wink

Worst case scenario - £765 month. £9k year. For a £60k car of this calibre. Not expensive really is it for a brand-new amg wink. A 991 with a £6k deposit will be more than double that monthly payment i bet. And as for insurance, fuel etc, that's irrelevant whether it's a new car or a 10 year old car. In fact, you could buy a 2 year old amg and quite easily get a £2-3k next-service bill.

I stand by my 'bargain' comment hehe
My tongue was ever so slightly in cheek phucker wink
However if buying new am sure after 3 years on this scheme the car might not cost a significant amount more than buying it outright. And you've had that 6.2 litre v8 for 3 years.......
Unfortunately, I don't think I'm quite in the financial position to take advantage of the deal. But if I trade I'm my old car for 8k then thecamg will only cost me £600 a month, bargain! PCP mind control has me in its clutches! Help!

Well going by every post by dealers on PH

£1.5-£2k warranty

£2k prep,servicing,tyres and sundries

Sales mans commission £££'s

And after all that VAT on the profit

So if it's less than £7-£8k where will the profit come from once you give the customer his discount?

You can't have it both ways! wink

The cheapest MB approved C63 saloon is an 08 plate with 34000 miles at £29850. Ok, its poverty spec but so would be the one you buy on this deal. What do you think the trade in value would have been, £23k? And that's the current model. In 3 years surely saloons on this deal wouldnt be current.... I don't see how you would have any equity in the car after 3 years to make the deal a£21k one. Of course your crystal ball may be better than mine.......

Look, I'm not knocking PCP... Certainly it's enabled me to drive cars I couldn't have bought up front. But let's not kid ourselves that it makes owning cars like this a bargain. You need to go in with your eyes wide open.....and expect the worse.

Right, currently have a 2010 C63 so thought I'd have a chat with my dealership.

To get into an exact copy of my car albeit into a Coupe ie with PPP, Drivers Pack and carbon pack....I would need to give them my car plus £10k.(once paid off finance outstanding at £39k) MB Dealer then would 'put in' £7200 and the monthly payment would be £834....

The coupe came out at £71,495 spec'ed up to the same as my current one.eek

The £599 deal is for a bog stock C63 Amg which in itself isn't a bad car but if you then think about reselling, it won't sell easy. Most buyers want PPP as a minimum from what I see and also was looking for.

I think if I was taking this deal, i would probably opt for the coupe over the saloon. With the coupe being a new model and all that, my gut feeling is the coupe will retain the most value = more equity after 3 years.

Same deal i think - £599 month

Does the car cover the outstanding finance?

You will never get a £2/3k service bill on a two year old c63 amg - it will be under warranty.

It is if you buy the car on a PCP, they add an extra £1500 because you couldn't afford to buy the car out-right so shouldn't be driving it in the first place - we call it pauper tax! wink

soovy, did you decide on a new one in the end? if so what sort of lead in times are you being quoted?

Also can anyone with a coupe advise if the backseats are usable if you have little people or is it a case of if you want to use back seats then you have to opt for the saloon?

Apologies for the thread hijack.

Delivery times are roughly 3 months with no carbon fibre, 5 months with.

Back seats are very usable and both front seats move forward and tilt electronically at the touch of a button, thought it was pretty smart.
