I tend to buy trade from dealers i.e. Taking their trade ins for good prices. For example I purchased a range rover Sc back in sept and made 3k. I've lost £500 on some cars but generally I sell for the price I paid for it. Dealers are happy making £500 on their trade ins regardless and in some cases these cars can be had for 1-3k underbook depending on the car. Saying that you have to be quick I just lost out only the other week on a mint s320cdi 06 with 50k miles for £13k car was fully loaded with AMG styling etc.

They may do although I was only interested in LP finance so that's what I asked them to quote me on. Pick a car out the trader and give them a call to see how the figures run for each. They said the gtr was one of the most popular financed cars.Watch out for MB return standards at the end of your agreement, I returned a E220 cdi at the end of my agreement and received a bill for what was quite frankly body marks that were virtually impossible to see. That wasn,t just my opinion incidently , a friend of mine who just happens to be a vehicle inspector for BCA checked it over before it was collected and had to admit it was in very good knick and more than acceptable....not for MB though....they collected it as arranged...took it down to the midlands somewhere then set about constructing a nice big bill for me....fortunately I was armed with my own vehicle inspection including photos...a few phone calls and letters later and the bill was reduced substantially to cover just one kerbed near side wheel.
Apparantly MB are well known within the industry for trying it on when vehicles reach the end of their agreement.....you have been warned.....I will never lease from them again.....and I actually look after my cars well.

That is good, looks like the diesel is coming in even less than the petrol. Think its also more powerful than the 200K and should use less fuel, win all round!jetski690 said:

I suppose £5,500 for 18months' motoring by SLK is not bad but the mileage limit is a bit puny and translates into 55p per mile.stone chips said:

Sounds very similar to my experience of Mercedes when car was given back (you can search for thread on here). Is a shame - as their hand back policy really tarnished what was an otherwise excellent experience of car ownership.Apparantly MB are well known within the industry for trying it on when vehicles reach the end of their agreement.....you have been warned.....I will never lease from them again.....and I actually look after my cars well.
I am currently looking at slk's for my wife, and these lease deals look perfect. I just cannot be bothered with the hassle of the returns.
A,B,C,E's are just fleet fodder and have been for some while,there will be plenty of deals on them which makes it great for us
I also see the chairman of MB would like production to be cranked up above and beyond BMW & Audi figures so extra pressure on the Manufacturers to shift even more metal and the way to do this is offer massive discounts to the leasing companies.

I've leased from Lex, BMW and VW and never had these issues.
MercedesBenz Finance - NEVER AGAIN.

I had the same brochure. Seemed very fair. Then real life experience kicked in.I don't want this thread to turn into a slag off the Mercedes hand back policy, as this thread should be about good lease deals, which there are many. If you want to read more or comment then do it on this thread:-

Just remember to budget for approx £1000 at the end of the period into your costs, or be ready for a letter writing battle.

I did that as well! I had the original "tart up" work done before I handed it back, based upon the dealers recommendation. Made no difference - the dealer even told me before it was out of his hand the minute it was collected.
