I know what you mean about the rear. It looks like the couldn't be bothered to finish the design because it was coming up to 5.30pm.

When it comes to practicality and drive quality...in a heartbeat but the looks of the SLS at the back really put me off far too much and im willing to continue to suffer in the lp640 lol

The 'classic' SL55 AMG to my mind, Sibby!

So much better looking than either the 'face lift' or the hideous new model.

I parked my SLK32 next to an SL55 at London Airport during the week - the elegant lines of the 2003-2008 R230 SL55 contrasted nicely with the timeless lines of the R170 SLK.

The 2008-2011 model was less elegant; the 2012 model is as ugly as sin.

Sometime last year I started a thread on choosing between this Brabus and an X5M. I received no option on the X5M (it was posted in both Merc and BMW) and enough on the Brabus - decision made and absolutlely nil regrets!!

But of all my cars - this IS my favourite. Sheer understated class and luxury and immense power at about 610bhp V12 engine in the S65 AMG - for me the best car in the world
