Looks ace.

(Now wishing I'd stuck with the c63 instead of going for the slk 55).

Hope you have a great weekend getting to know it.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the gearbox. I have just about gotten used to mine (pre MCT shift) but could be tempted to change for a MCT model later in the year / next year.

Will do, I enquired about remaps for the box and was told the box was the same as used in the Ferrari 458, which suprised me.......

Blimey. That surprises me too! I did hear the C63 engine was designed by the same chap that designed the Carrera GT engine, apparently. I tried searching on the internet for confirmation of this but couldn't find any info to confirm it. Either way, it's a stonking set-up smile

You were right to be surprised because you were misinformed. The MCT isn't the same as the double clutch box in the 458. The SLS has a DCT box which is the same type as the Ferrari - although you wouldn't guess it to drive it (much, much slower to respond to shift commands).

Looks very nice, especially with the black wheels etc. What options do you have?

Not my car - but I have it for a couple of weeks.

After driving a Lambo LP640, a F430, a DB9, a Bentley Continental GT....I can honestly say this thing is phenominal. The engine can only be described as "sex". The power is phenominal but it has all the luxuaries which is just crazy - a car that can be driven literally everyday no problem! The only down side to it in my oppinion is the back - it looks gay! bit like a Mazda - when the fronts looking so damn sexy! Definately needs to be modded....... :P

I saw this one yesterday, lovely car but at a quoted £190K is it worth it?

So far very very impressed. Only have 250 miles on the clock and attempting to stick to the running in procedures so haven't strayed too far over 4k rpm yet.

One thing that is already obvious without even leaving 'Comfort mode' is the noise and abundance of power to a surprising degree.

The car pulls to triple figures with so little effort its crazy, and this is changing up at 3k rpm.

Thank you, I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Options were silver wheels painted matt black by the dealership (don't like the silver rim from the factory), exterior carbon pack, interior carbon pack, rearview camera, Harman Karman.

Think that's about it.
