It looks tidy , but it`s missing it`s wheelarch trims and is on budget tyres .
Cloth trim is very rare as most had the leather option .
I don`t like ads like this ; there is insufficient detail about the car and errors , which suggest it has a leather interior and heated screen .

It has several options though , but sunroofs aren`t always good news as they promote rust and can leak . The early traction controls were too intrusive too , on the C36 .

My car has only visited a main dealer in the last 6 years when the immobiliser locked down the car , and Mercedes would not release the code to my mechanic

Thanks for the Info mate. I understand what you mean by the advert, but i'm taking a slightly different view i.e. it's in a smallish dealer not very well advertised so i might just get it at a better price. smile

I never even noticed the arch trims were missing, i had to go and find a picture of another one to see what you meant. Cloth doesn't trouble me, quite like it actually. Point taken re sunroof & tyres, will need to have a good look. Overall it seems in very good nick with great miles & history - IF all correct scratchchin

I reckon it's well worth a look though. driving

Had one about 7 or 8 years ago (Wyn Percys old car actually) loved it to bits, it'd done 120k miles & drove like new, covered a further 15k in it & not a thing went wrong with it, had a very good history though.

the gearbox was the only reason I got rid of it tbh, the car was so much better balanced & the engine so much sweeter than I expected, its gearbox let it down, I'm betting the C43 suited it more if it were more the cruiser, the 190 cosworth comparison is a good one, can you imagine that with an auto box?

shame, great great car were it not for the gearbox.

C32 is far more money to buy and run ; it lacks the quality too of the early cars .

The silver car is well worth a look . The price is about right for a nice condition car ; one has sold recently well over double that .

There are really good ones and really thrashed bad ones now , so buy from a sympathetic , caring owner (or look for the evidence in the service history ) There are truly immaculate cars out there (like mine , after much expenditure !) , but owners tend to hang onto them .

Good luck with your search , they are fantastic cars when they are running properly . I did 120 miles across the North Yorks Moors yeterday , and savoured every mile .

Nice how it has lots of features not fitted to Mercs of that era, must be because it's
