You know, I saw that and was sure I recognised it as well. Sure I used to see it around. dickyf said:
My wife who is 5'2 can sit in the back for about an hour with the lap belt on.

Might be a silly question, but can you get toddlers in the back of these?
My daughter fitted in no problem until she was about 9. The main thing to remember is that there's a lap belt only, and I'm not sure you'd get any form of child seat in the back. I only stuck her in the back for short journeys round town.yes it came from Glasgow. It is currently being brought back to a higher standard finish ready for the spring.

Any updates or tasty pictures from anyone? I'm due to see a 1991 500 tomorrow morning and I can't wait!
A readers ride thread of one of the cheaper R129 would be a great read.... Actually maybe keep it in the Mercedes section and not the general gassing to stop everyone going after one

Any updates ...
I have a 1999 (oval wing mirrors) SL500, fully loaded including ADS, pano roof and 5-hole Sador wheels. Owned from new, but probably worth 3/4k now. It's just visible in my profile pic. Occasionally rather expensive to keep in fully working order, and the light grey interior is a bugger to keep clean. But it's been a fine car and I just don't have the heart to get rid of it.
There have been several very good threads on here about owning these cars. If you search back, there are some definitive posts by r129sl from, I think, a couple of years ago.
