I am fortunate enough to have seen this car several times in the flesh. (That's my E Type sitting behind it in the last set of pictures.)

What's great apart from original conception and the engineering skill involved in doing the transplant, is that it is likely to be "stealth" enough to frighten the st out of several motorway warriors in due course, despite the large tyres. Personally, I'd be getting it onto a unrestricted stretch of autobahnsmile.

If I understand the conception correctly, all the ECU and electronic gubbins will be stock MB/AMG 55. I can see that the ABS should work fine given that the wheels, tyres and braking system will be from the donor car but it will be interesting to see how the ASR/stability control (whatever MB calls it) stuff works on different parameters or maybe the cars are close enough in terms of weight, centre of gravity etc for it not to matter.

Yes, that is pretty much the theme of it, though it's wider wings may give the game away a bit. Hope you get the E back on track soon.
