Why is it that whenever I reply to a topic I get an echo
Because you're on a Mac and you use the "back" button? Does it for me, anyway.

These are lovely cars, btw.

Just came across this thread! I bought the car someone referred to in this thread from a Mazda dealer in November 2013. Took it to Affslterbach for GT gearbox upgrade, which took a lot longer than 30 mins as they told me the TCU was changed as well as the software upgrade, and it could only be done in Affslterbach. They've certainly gone up in the past few months! Was offered £135k by a dealer friend a few weeks ago, even though he knows it's not for sale. He even apologised when offering that and said he wouldn't sell it if he were me!!

Since when?

I think they dropped back a tad but seem to be creeping up a bit recently

So what do they go for nowadays, I recall them coming down to around £90k at one point...

Yes 90 was a low point, I bought just before then at 100k. I think a reasonable mileage Coupe starts around 140k

Year doesn't seem to make much difference. Certainly a glut of Roadsters about. White and red seem to stick a bit

What are the thoughts on these low mileage cars (less than 5000mi) going for like £186K? Seen one on Autotrader. Not sure where the future of these will go, but it's really, really tempting to pick something up with 10,000mi and just keeping it for the long-haul. It's such a beautiful car.

Still got mine. Prices seem to be up and down a bit. I guess dealers are trying to get the best price dependant upon how scarce they are in their area. There is only so many in the UK. A lot have been exported now according to MB. There also appears to be a lot getting tucked away as investments, so they can only rise in value as they get less and less. The other thing I found out is that a few of the adverts are not genuine cars for sale. Just trying to pull punters into their dealership I guess hoping to sell them something else. just as a matter of interest I have been getting mine looked after at Mercedes Benz Warrington. Great people and genuine AMG specialists. they have all the right equipment and they have upgraded the engine and gearbox twice. Gear shift is much quicker now. This could only be done by taking the car to AMG in Germany two or three years ago.
Still very happy with it. no plans to sell.

I sold mine at 90, it was about 18 months old, 1 owner and 5 or 6k miles. They started to go up in value the following month.

I bought and sold mine for just over 100k so had some free motoring. My car has since sold at 185k and maybe now is over 200k - mileage was very low and nice spec

- it's appreciation only got it back to original list more or less. My ones first owner paid over 190k for it - not sure if discounts weren't around then or he didn't push
