I suppose if they are retailing in the 90s, they are likely to be changing hands in the trade at not much more than £80k. I don't think you're too far out, but I think it's more likely to be mid 70s than mid 60s. I do wonder where the bottom of the curve will come though.
:nods:

We shall see...Aiming to make a move on this come the spring fingers crossed. Meantime shall keep a close eye on them!

Do you think that now production stopped we will see a price freeze? maybe until what ever new car comes to replace.

Anyone know what the new car is, and if it will have Gullwing doors?

As I understand it, the sls will not be replaced but instead another smaller traditional doored car will emerge from AMG.

I hope this is the case so that SLS prices may be preserved

Agreed. I believe the SLC is that car.

What's the most recent thoughts on these cars? More importantly; experiences in this department.

I'd buy now if you can...It's certainly my intention in about 6 weeks time.

Because demand is strong for Coupes at the moment and that means prices will harden

^ Agreed. The best time to buy was in reality probably 4-6 weeks back amid the awful weather when you had a dozen of them sitting from low to high 90s...But then even a cursory look over PH's current crop right now says to me it's still very much worth doing right now.

More importantly with AMG's newer car that's expected being the new crop of engines & with the traditional door design, this will always be in my view, that extra bit special.

Hard to ignore the Ferrari 599 at a similar price point too. Nice conundrum to have! smile

According to their twitter feed Romans increased the price of a coupe they had by 5k. There aren't many low mileage coupes around (sub 5k). Prices seem to have firmed now MB have got rid of their demo cars

Best motorway car I have ever had by the way, feels rock solid.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you have before and what other cars did you consider before deciding on the SLS?

In my case I went from a California

Others to consider were 458 spider (too expensive), AM vanquish (love them but depreciation fears) and merc sl63

Not a 599 then. Conscious move away from Ferrari?

I love the looks of the 599 but going back to a single clutch f1 box puts me off them . Plus they do about 1 mpg in town

I sold a 240Z, a dodge ram Pick up and an SL55 for the SLS but I own many cars from across the spectrum currently inc a DBS and an FGT for example.

I'm working my way through my list of possibles. Really liked the SLS (apart from banging my head when I stood up after getting out! headache. Wanted to try a DBS or V12V but have only managed to get out in a DB9, which I wasn't really all that impressed with. Was considering a V12V or a DBS, as well as a Gallardo LP560 or a 599. The DBS or V12V would have to be a hell of a step up from the DB9 to be a consideration now.

I bought mine almost a year ago, with 3k miles for £97.500. Looking at classifieds today, prices haven't moved much if at all. Having said that, I can't think of a reason why I'd ever want to sell it.

So prices have actually gone up then. Current prices appear to be around the 90-105k mark depending on mileage. I just got mine recently with about 8000 miles for around 100k should have bought earlier!
