You know it makes sense...never mind a couple of years. After your shotgun ride you will be booking the M5 in.

Hey

The car was a CL63 bi-turbo Stock the car is around 545bhp. After the Map it made 655bhp!! And that was just with a remap now if we put bigger Turbos well that is a total different story!

The Guys from the US were Jerry @ Eurocharged Houston.

Are you going to need to beef up the gearbox? In the S/CL 65, they had to fit the five speed because Mercedes Benz felt it was the only box that could handle the torque. Surely the figures for this conversion are likely to be equal to or greater than the Bi-Turbo V12.

Ok hope I get the info right :

Stock C63. 450 bhp. 443tq
Weistec stage 1 C63 637bhp. 560tq

Stock. CL V12. 493bhp. 590tq

The gearbox upgrade is a Must on stage 3 as the as the power increase is mental
Stage 3: 769+ HP, 667+ TQ

There are many cars running stage 1 in the US without the Gearbox upgrade without any probs.

http://www.weistec.com/7229.html

But I suppose the true testing will be done once the car is complete and has done 5000miles or so.

How will the launch control function be with the added power? Will it destroy clutches now, like M5's do as standard? Lol.... I've never used my launch control, even though I have full BMW warranty on mine, just heard too many horror stories!!

Its a different sort of clutch to the SMG in the BMW. The MCT doesnt burn up like the single clutch in the M5 as its more like an auto slushbox in its function than a automated manual like the M5 has.
