Well, I've had the SLK55 for 2 years now from new, and its just been sold back to Mercedes. Twas a good little car, but cant say I used it to its fullest! At least I cracked the 2k mile mark. Below is a pic of the stats from new (I never reset the computer):

Only 2k from new in 2 years? If you dont mind me asking, what was the point vs the cost?

There wasnt much point really. The car actually seemed a relatively cheap thrill, having come down from an F430 and 997TT, but I was planning on using it more.

I'd be interested in the financial stats, ie what the car actually cost to own for those two years, and then applied per mile.

As for 'cheap thrill', your idea of cheap differs somewhat from mine! biggrin

Any man on PH that has to be creative to explain why buying their dream car is a good idea to their wives or girlfriends needs to save the link to this post.

That's really interesting, thanks. beer

And how much did you get for it when you sold it back to Mercedes? That's the crucial figure to know what it really cost to own it for those two years (I'm assuming you didn't pay £25,000 just to end up with absolutely nothing at the end of it! biggrin )
