C63 owners' meet with PH Fleet 507
Discussion
Morning all,
I mentioned it in my last update on our 507 Wagon long-termer but thought I'd post up here too about the proposed meet-up for C63 owning PHers. I've got a couple of proposed dates - August 2 or August 23 - and a location between Aylesbury and Bicester with some V8-friendly hosts and some interesting cars to tyre kick above and beyond a load of AMGs. It's a Saturday morning but the tactical plan was that by locating it near Bicester any other halves, etc, can be dropped off at Bicester Village and left to amuse themselves for a bit while we geek out over AMGs. For those who don't know this part of the world it's an easy run up the M40 from the M25 junction (c. 30-40min) for those coming from London and not too bad from the Midlands either. You can get across from the M1 via the A43 pretty painlessly too.
Tea and bacon sarnies will be available - may be a case of dropping a couple of quid in a tin but TBC - and if you're up for it please drop me a line directly with your preferred date and after the votes have come in I'll announce which one we're going for based on a simple majority. Apologies in advance if it doesn't suit but I'll try and ensure the best turn out.
We'll do a story off the back of it and I'd love to chat with you about your C63 ownership experiences and hopefully we can stage a big group photo with all the cars together but we'll see how many we get!
Cheers!
Dan

Is this going to be exclusively for C's ?
Reason i ask is that i am an ex C63 estate driver who this year swapped into a cls63 sb. The difference in sound and responsiveness was so much that i had to go and mod the cls to try and get some of that madness back !
I take it you've gone from the 6.2 to the turbo'd 5.5? The difference is considerable then?Reason i ask is that i am an ex C63 estate driver who this year swapped into a cls63 sb. Indeed I have and yes I thought it was marked.
I've changed the exhaust (fitted RADO down pipes from Eurocharged) and had a remap (Rebellion). It's now at 650 ish bhp but more important it has the bark back. Next step is possibly a TCU map for better shifts.

some people eh!! BTW which one is better?
hard to say, not driven the later in some time. haven't had a chance to drive the c63 hard either, as still in the running in period. At this stage, from reading your question my first thought was the Audi is a surgeon knife, while the Merc is more the meat cleaver.
The merc is a daily driver, so I really am enjoying the point and shoot muscle car feel to it. saying that the Audi is a very useable car as an daily driver, hard on say the London roads, but still very useable.
if you gave me a open mountain road, id take the audi all day long, so precise and controlled, going on a long motorway journey, the merc would be my choice.
